to expand my realization of the world and current events, or to give me an outlet for burning off some […]

One of the best parts of Twitter is being able to track my thinking.

Conversing with six-year-old daughter. please wait...she is amazed that my name is part of a web page, and awaiting departure of elder sis.

  • Once I heard that I was going to go get left at the house, alone, wait, not alone. Hold on, I have to remember what I said. Giggles…gigggggllllllllllleeeeeeinnnngggggg hmm hmm hummm…sigh…giglgllllingggggg…stop it. Stop….giggle…..GRINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
    Ok.
  • Once I remember that…once I remember. She’s re-hashing the already written.
    Daddy, what does re-hashing mean?
It means: A reworking or restatement of already familiar material. This according to http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hashing; A very valuable piece of information.

Well, I thought that I was going to get left at the house alone. But then, my grandpa said, “that, well, your dad will be at the house.” And then…once I got home, I went upstairs where my daddy was and I told him about what I talked about with my grandpa in the car.
    The End.
  • Oh, and I also said to grandpa, I’ll be happy to know I’m spending the night with daddy!
  • DADDY-will you stop twittering NOW and come down for snack! Daddy…I found a candy cane, it’s not my candy cane, did you give it for me? Hey dad…will you stop twittering and come downstairs already?

Tag: Twitter user unsorryass’s rants unnecessarily rude to other users

(The names have been altered to ensure this application is applicable to all those involved and otherwise not involved.)
Copr. ~!jesseloop 2008 applies to all blogs on http://jesseloop.blogspot.com

Unsorryass’s tirade causes users to become quite ticked off, it would seem. In a total lack of subtly and tact, unsorryass’s goes off on just about everyone for just about anything (well, of course that’s an exaggeration, but he has been kinda harsh on a few of us). I believe this person may need to rest a bit, perhaps sleep would induce a few much needed “sorries.”
Really, saying sorry isn’t so much admitting you are wrong, but just apologizing for the perception of rudeness, in this particular instance. Admitting you’re wrong takes an even better human.

More on the backstory:
Before realizing I had been blocked and received these Direct Message texts:

unsorryass’s You're just a dick ... is that too clever for you? Dick from the start, dick all day, and dick now. *blocked* 12:49 AM January 10, 2008 reply

unsorryass’s BTW.FWIW I'm from Northern Alberta. You and MegFowler are the only 2 nasty people I've met in months on twitter. (She adds smilies? pffft) 04:10 PM January 09, 2008 reply

unsorryass’s Oh, I see. Well ... you might want to start a blog! You graduated 2004? That's ... golly, that's almost 4 years ago. 01:57 PM January 09, 2008 reply

unsorryass’s Normally people link to a webpage. It is extremely unusual for someone to link directly to a PDF. 01:56 PM January 09, 2008 reply

I had posted a reply to Unsorryass’s’s post at:
http://mozdawg.blogspot.com/search?q=

which read:

I really like the fact that you really are a very intelligent person. I complimented you because I may be about to blast you.
I may not be, as well. I’ll leave that determination to you.
The other day you asked me why I hadn't been bloggin' since it's been, in what I took as an attempt to belittle my age and...gumption, or desire, I suppose, if not just the latter, 4 years since I graduated. I'm here to thank you for making this place for me to blog. I actually choose, till now, not to be able to afford the time to put together a professional place to write, and I’m no amateur.

Well, back at the ranch, it seems like a "narrow" (like this term) thought to assert "most folk" see much similarity in the root terms of the words accurate and precise.
I disagree that many people assume such similarity in meaning, just for the plain fact that it is very easy to be accurately imprecise. I use this statement of yours to argue that, as I've noticed, in my limited interaction with you over the past few days, you seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder.
I said, you seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder.
This fact, if indeed I am correct (and really, I almost always am), is not necessarily a bad thing. I just think you need to take your chip and place it on a winning number. The chances are that if you choose correctly, you have the chance to actually make a difference, instead of just claiming the house ruined your hand, and leaving disappointed.
You are quite intelligent. Use this intelligence to not only demonstrate the deficiencies, but to also seek a solution for them.
Other than that, I would suggest that the last line of your post is clunky, and that there is a typo involving the use of the word how, I’m sure you mean to say, "and that's how [and not hot] it is with the A-list..."
Further, I ask, where do you get your style at, as it pertains to the usage of a space preceding an ellipsis? I do not believe that is how most people do it. Or, as you said to me, "it's unusual" for people to do...so and so, etc....
And you know what I mean...you were discussing my link to a .pdf file rather than an url...etc...the day we talked with our friend, or at least my friend, @megfowler.
Oh, and concerning your statements about @megfowler, have you thought of an apology? I apologize for making your private comments to me about her public, but I think it is the kind of statement you ought not make, should you not be willing to state thus publicly.
I do believe it is worthwhile to give people a break now and then...wouldn't you agree?
I told you I sometimes make a harsh first impression, but I always end up looking good in the end. This is a valuable asset to achieving what I want.
Finally, I'll close with a sincere compliment to your writing, I was nearly able to keep from scrolling faster than I am actually able to read while browsing your page. It held my attention, for the most part. Thank you for your thoughts.
Yours,
@jesatiu

I realize my response is full of typographical errors as well, yes. I was not faulting you on this, just editorializing.
I also did not realize, as I had not logged into twitter prior to leaving my comment, that you had called me a dick in a direct message and indicated you "blocked" me.
I do think you are wrong, but entitled to your opinion. I apologize for whatever miscommunication it was that lead you to believe I was intentionally trying to be a "dick," as you say.
I live life attempting to better the world around me. You are mistaken and unnecessarily hostile.
Yours,
Jesse

I’m sure I can do better…and I want to be sure to again thank @newmediajim (Jim Long) for his reporting tonight…we are learning to be more aware of the reality of the future by keeping pace with the present, are we not?

Thanks for reading, if you’ve gotten this far…and keep in mind I do not intend to snub unsorryass’s wholly, just to provide a little view into tonight’s affairs, and perhaps prompt an apology, and inspire a change in attitude.

The rare twitter goes beserk? @bentrem loses in process

Depicting a night at twitter-land, jesse finds a certain twitter user making all the wrong keystrokes with reckless abandon? I think, yes, perhaps very much so...

His rudeness to @megfowler caught my eye the other day, and I attempted to converse with him in order to...get to know his motives a bit better. And he's founded an attack on @newmediajim, a working man reporting on Bush's trip abroad, for no apparent reason other than to accentuate his apparent lack of...tact, I think is the correct term. Others have used the term A$$hole, but that's their statement, not mine...

Chanced to run across his blog today, and left comments giving props and kudos, only to see my comments promptly removed. I will re-post here now:

The response to a posting at:

http://mozdawg.blogspot.com/2008/01/how-vc-rots-kidz-brains.html

The comments below are the same one deleted by the blog author.
